BODE - Mrs. Josephine Sween, 80, formerly of Bode, died Sunday evening (November 9, 1980) at Colorado Springs, Colo. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Bode, with burial in the church cemetery. Schellhammer Funeral Home, West Bend, is in charge where friends may call after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Lucille) Moe, Wheeling, Ill.; son, Kenneth Sween, Colorado Springs; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Blanche Christianson, Bode, Mrs. Arlene Keating, El Cerrito, Calif., and Pauline Gunderson, Fort Dodge.

Josephine Gunderson was born at Ottawa, Ill, and moved with her parents to Bode at the age of 13, and attended the Bode schools. In 1920 she married Levi Sween at Bode. The couple farmed near Bode all of their married life. After the death of Mr. Sween in 1971, Mrs. Sween moved to Colorado Springs.

Mrs. Sween was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Ladies Aid.
