Obituary
Dena Jensen was born in Sognedahl, Norway on Dec. 24, 1867 and passes away on Jan. 14, 1938 at the age of 71 years and 3 weeks. She has been in failing health for a number of years. At the age of 20 she came to his country and worked as a maid for several years. In 1894 she was united in marriage with Chris Christensen. To this union one son, Carl, was born. She lived at Sioux Rapids until May 9, 1936 when she with her family came to Gilmore City. Funeral services were held at the Norwegian Lutheran church at Sioux Rapids Monday afternoon Jan 17, Rev. Hatlan officiated. Interment was in the Sioux Rapids Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Chris Christensen and son Carl and several nieces and nephews in Norway.
