Memorial services for Christine Nelson, 85, South Beloit, IL., were held Friday, May 14, in the Christ Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Roscoe, IL., with inurnment held at the St. Olaf Cemetery in Bode. She died Wedneseday, May 12, at the Beloit Memorial Hospital in Beloit.

The Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home of Beloit, WI, was in charge of the arrangements, with the Rev. Ken Scherer officiating.

Survivors include two sons, Arlo Nelson of Hicksville, NY, and DeLon Nelson of Roscoe, IL; a daughter, Bonnie (Mrs. Del) Insko of South Beloit, IL; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jens Christenson and Chris Christenson; and one sister, Dora Jensen.

Christine Christenson, daughter of Martin and Marie (Strangarrd) Christenson, was born July 9, 1907, in Bode. In 1927, she married Andrew Nelson in Humboldt. She was formerly employed by the Humboldt school system, for 10 years, as a custodian, retiring in 1964. Her husband died in April, 1983.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church near Rutland.
