Doris Berg, 79, 1814 N. 25th St., (Fort Dodge) died Tuesday (March 5, 1991) at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines.

Services will be at 10 am.m Friday at First United Methodist Church, Fort Dodge, with the Rev. Roger Madden officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Humboldt. Visitation is from 4-9 today at Bruce's Funeral Home, Fort Dodge.

Survivors include her husband, Lorimer; daughter, Joan Thorne, Osage; son, Buford Hollinger, San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; step-daughters, Alice Ozbun, Dayton, and Donna Freund, Fort Dodge; stepsons, Marvin Berg, Fort Dodge, and Harry Berg, West Branch; 20 step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Francis Watts, Santa Monica, Calif., and Don Watts, Austin, Minn.; and sister Beverly Dinges, Burlingame, Calif.

Doris Watts was born July 4, 1911 in Livermore. She attended the former Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls, and also attended Drake University, Des Moines. She married Ralph Hollinger. He died in 1962. She was a teacher in the Livermore country school system and then taught in Otho and Coalville. She also taught in Dayton Community Schools where she retired from in 1975. She married Lorimer Berg in Austin, Minn., in 1964.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, United Methodist Women, Fort Dodge Women's Club, Evening Lit Club, Senior Citizen's Center, and Retired Teachers of Webster County.
