Borghild Sandal, 95, of Friendship Haven, died Tuesday morning (17 December 1991) in Trinity Regional Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Allen Hermeier, pastor of the St. Olaf Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial is in the North Lawn Cemetery.

Survivors include daughter Vivian Mockett, Carmel, Ind.; and sister Gladys Holland, Milford.

Borghild Arne was born Aug. 8, 1896 at Bode. She attended school at Bode. She married Ingvald Sandal in 1925 at Bode. The couple lived in Humboldt for two years then moved to Lawrencevilla, Ill. They later moved to Fort Dodge in 1944, where she worked for a number of years at the Gates Department Store as a seamstress. He died in 1971. She was a resident of Friendship Haven for the past several years.

She was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, the church's quilt-making group, the Circle Bible Study group and the Altar Guild.
