Archie Lansing, 63, died Tuesday, November 26 at Gowrie Nursing after a long illness.

Mr. Lansing was born August 31, 1910, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ambrosius Lansing, formerly of Bode. They are now both deceased.

In 1932 he was united in marriage to Ethel Ries, Gilmore City. To this union six children were born of which Arlene died in infancy and Alberta died at Oakdale, Iowa. His wife Ethel died in 1969.

Survivors include four children: Mary Ann (Mrs. Bill Lovercheck) of Omaha, NE; Jim of Fort Dodge; Dixie (Mrs. Bob Howard), Fort Dodge and Jack of Leavenworth, KS. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, nine brothers and sisters.

Mr. Lansing worked as a farm hand in Humboldt and Webster Counties. In 1968 he retired due to illness.

Funeral services were held November 30 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Bode with Pastor Palmer Loken officiating. Casket bearers were: Kent Haynes, Keith Haynes, Ronnie Brockman, Don Rhoades, Gene Lauer and Tom Law. Interment was in Bode Cemetery with Lindhart Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
