Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Marie Slankard, 38, of Copertino, California were held Wednesday in the chapel of Pace-Wells Funeral Home. The Rev. Carroll T. Cole, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in the Guidry Cemetery near Batson.

Mrs. Slankard, who had been ill for some time, was the daughter-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Slankard. They were enroute to her bedside at the time of her death. She died on January 23.

Survivors include her husband, Eli W. Slankard; a son, Eli Jr. and a daughter Vickie, all of Copertino, CA; her mother, Mrs. Anna Monson of Fort Dodge, IA; four brothers Larry, Lloyd, Russell and Grant and one sister Ruth Ann.
