Funeral services for Mrs. John W Saxton of Fort Dodge were held Friday at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. Mrs. Saxton died suddenly Tuesday evening December 27, 1960 from a heart attack. The Saxton family were former residents of Hardy.

Mrs. Saxton (Grace Leona Monson) is survived by one son, John Saxton Jr. and one daughter, Mrs. Don L. Pieper; four grandchildren; two brothers, Otto Monson of Redfield SD and Arthur Monson of Bode; two sisters, Mrs. John Rolland of Osage and Mrs. John Jung of Lake Orion, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Glenn Saxton who died in World War II and infant twin sons. Interment was in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Dodge. 07 Jan 1961 Humboldt Newspaper.
