CHARLES WALLACE, 71,
SERVICES SATURDAY

Mr. Charles Wallace, age 71, an Insurance and Real Estate broker at Gilmore City, Iowa, passed away Wednesday afternoon (May 17) at University Hospitals, Iowa City following an extended illness.

Mr. Wallace is survived by his widow, Sarah; two sons and one daughter, Richard C. Wallace of Palatine, Illinois; Mrs. Robert D. Smith of Grinnell; and Thomas J. Wallace of Iowa City, Iowa. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; and one brother and two sisters.

Mr. Wallace was a charter member of the Gilmore City American Legion and a member of St. John's Catholic church in Gilmore City.

Requiem High Mass will be said for Mr. Wallace 10 a.m. Saturday morning at St. John's Catholic church with burial in Gilmore City. Graveside American Legion rites will be conducted by the Gilmore City American Legion Post. The Rosary will be recited 8 p.m. Friday evening at the Schellhammer Funeral Home in Gilmore City, Iowa.
