Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Christian church and was in charge of the Odd Fellows. A large number of Yeoman were also present. The sermon was preached by Rev. W. S. Kight, of Mitchelville, who paid a glowing tribute to the life and character of the deceased who was a member of the church of God; and admonition to the people to be more kindly and charitable in their dealings with each other – to present the boquet (sic) of roses while the recipient is able to enjoy their beauty and fragrance.
