N. E. [Nelson] Myers, former Humboldt citizen,-and father of C. E, Myers of Humboldt, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E. O. Pjiester, at 118 Adel Ave., Joliet,Ill., Sunday, March 27. He was eighty-six years of age. The funeral will be held at Humboldt, Wednesday, March 30, 1932 at two o'clock in the afternoon at the Hopley funeral parlors, If the present plans carry through.

Mr. Myers lived in Humboldt many years and was a highly respected business man. He was known for his rugged honesty and integrity and his word was always good. As old age approached he gave up his active business life and after the death of his wife [Victoria Rober]that occurred in 1910, spent most of his time with his children. He left Humboldt in 1911 to make his home with his daughter in Illinois, where he lived until his death.

He was a member of the G. A.R. and bore an honorable military record. He had a very wide acquaintance in Humboldt county.
