I am not related to the Kinney family, but I do happen to have some limited information for you concerning the Kinney family who farmed west of Elma, Iowa in Afton township. According to a 1915 Howard County Atlas, Stephen Kinney farmed 120 acres of land on section 2, located 1 1/2 miles west and 1/4 mile north of Elma. Wm Kinney farmed 80 acres of land 1/4 mile west of Elma (section 1) and 80 acres of land (section 3) located 1 1/2 miles west and 1/2 mile north of Elma (across the road from Stephen Kinney farm), and Wm Kinney also farmed 40 acres of land 1 3/4 miles west of Elma (section 10) which is where the farm was located. Stephen Kinney was born 27 Oct 1855 in Wisconsin and he married Katherine Biwer in Nov 1893. She was born 17 Jun 1875 in Sullivan, WI to Mathias Adam Biwer and Mary Ann Thoma. Katherine died 4 Jun 1950 in Elma. The list of children you named is correct.
