Larry Francis Ihns, age 72, of Le Roy, Minnesota, died on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Accura Healthcare of Cresco, in Cresco, Iowa, where he had resided for 2 weeks.

Larry Ihns was born on February 15, 1952 to Francis Ihns and Gladys Ihns-Terbeest at Mercy Hospital in Cresco, Iowa.

He graduated from Le Roy-Ostrander High School in 1970. He was united in marriage to Mary Lou Erie on October 22, 1977, at the Le Roy Lutheran Church. They adopted two children, Greg and Tracey.

Larry was employed at various places around the Le Roy area. He started at Le Roy Products, then Le Roy Hardware Store, then he worked at other factories around the area. Eventually, he had to go on disability and could no longer work. His hobbies at that point was doing some traveling, cooking, gardening, bird watching, and playing games on his tablet.

He is survived by his son Gregory of Austin, Tracey of Rochester, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, and his brother-in-law Wayne (Bonnie) Erie of Rochester.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

A Celebration of Life for Larry will be at 1 p.m., on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Bethany Bible Church in Le Roy, Minnesota, with Pastor Mike Kroeker officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the start of the service at the church. Burial will be at Le Roy Cemetery.
