OBITUARY.
BOWERS.
William Henry Bowers was born in Blair county, Pennsylvania, April 30, 1843, and died at Cresco, Iowa, Jan. 21, 1919.

He moved to Dubuque, Iowa, in 1849, and was married to Ella J. Atwood at Elkader, Iowa, in 1870. Three children were born to them—one son and twin daughters: Merrill Bowers of Le Roy, Minn., Mrs. E. C. Rogers of Doon, Iowa, and Mrs. Clifford Longfield of Fargo, N. D. In 1878 the family moved to Cresco which has been his home ever since.
He leaves to mourn his death three sisters, Miss Mattie of Cresco, Mrs. Sarah Grady of New Brighton, Minn., Mrs. M. J. Grantham of Crawford, Neb., and one brother, W. E. Bowers of Cresco.
The three children whose names are already given survive him and mourn the loss of a father, also there are two grandchildren, besides other relatives and friends who sorrow at him going.
For a number of years Mr. Bowers was associated with the late W. R. Owen in the produce business in Cresco. Of late years he has been employed by the Weaver & Monesmith produce company. He was a quiet, unassuming man and faithful to every trust placed in him.
Funeral services were held at the home of Fred Leffler Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. W. A. Bockover, and burial was in Oaklawn.

Card of Thanks.
The relatives desire to express their sincere thanks to the friends who so kindly rendered assistance during the last illness and burial of their father and brother.
