OBITUARY
WACHA.
The entire community was shocked on December 2nd at the sad news of Joseph Wacha’s death from pneumonia.
Mrs. Wacha was born in Winneshiek County in 1876. At the age of three years, his parents moved to the vicinity of Maple Leaf where he spent the rest of his life.
In 1900 he was united in marriage to Johanna Zak. To this union were born nine children eight of whom are living, one having died in infancy.
Joseph Wacha was an upright and honest man, a kind and loving husband and father, a dutiful son and a good neighbor.
Being always of a light hearted and jolly disposition, he had the ability to make light of all troubles. He was a devoted Catholic, and his duty to his faith had always seen his first law.
His untimely death has inflicted a deep wound in the hearts of his sorrowing wife and family, but there remains the consolation that he died as a true Christian and that God in His wisdom does all things well.
There remains to mourn his loss, his widowed mother, his grief stricken wife and family, two brothers and one sister, besides many other relatives and friends.
His remains were laid to rest in Our Lady of Lourdes cemetery. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. P. Hogan. May his soul rest in peace.
A RELATIVE.Transcriber’s Note: His gravestone shows he was born Apr. 9, 1877 which does not agree with the above.
