OBITUARY.
Harmon.
Catherine Johnstone ws born near Smith Falls, Quebec, Canada, Jan. 1, 1844, and died at Oelwein, Iowa, Aug. 7, 1918.
Many years ago she came to Iowa with her parents and settled on a farm in New Oregon twp. In 1863 she united in marriage with Mr. John Dougherty who passed away 38 years ago
Some years afterwards she was married to Mr. David Harmon who is still living.
The death of Mrs. Harmon closes the last chapter of a well spent life. She was a beloved wife and mother, a kind neighbor, never complaining of the trials and sorrows of this life. Her motor was “They will be done.” She has gone home to dwell where sorrow is unknown.
Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her death three daughters, Mrs. M. I. Conway of Oelwein, Iowa, Mrs. R> H. Cahill and Mrs. C. W. Wilson of St. Paul, Minn., and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held in the M. E. church, Cresco, Friday Aug. 9, by Reb. G. M. Shoemaker of Ridgeway. Burial was made at New Oregon cemetery where flowers comple-{sic} thoughtfully and beautifully arranged.
