W. P. Clark and Mrs. Henry Holcomb were called to Cresco the first of the week by the death of a sister, Mrs. Emma Fifield.

OBITUARY
CLARK.
Emaline Clark was born at McHenry, Ill., August 17, 1847. When three years of age her parents moved to Iowa and settled in Winneshiek Co. On Dec. 11, 1863, she was united in marriage to Don Fifield at Decorah. Three children were born to them, two of whom survive. The husband died March 17, 1899, and the second son, Evan, died Jan. 6, 1909. For ten years they lived in Kendallville and for the past thirty years in Cresco. In 1894 she became a member of the Methodist church, which relation she held until her death. She was a good woman, kind, industrious, honest, devoted to her husband and family and very considerate of the welfare of others. For a number of months her energy has been given in unstinted service in the care of an invalid sister.
Very suddenly, but peacefully, she departed this life on Monday afternoon, April 15, 1918, aged 70 years, 6 months and 29 days. She is survived by the two sons, George, of Seattle, Wash., and William, of Salt Lake City, Utah, four grandchildren, two brothers, Ralph and William Clark, of Cresco, and four sisters, Mrs. Wm. Hammond, Mrs. Geo. Harris, Mrs. Henry Holcomb, all of Cresco, and Mrs. Addison Bank, of Mt. Hope, Wis.
The funeral services were held at the First Methodist Church on Thursday afternoon, April 18th, conducted by Rev. E. G. Copeland. Music was furnished by Mrs. Dr. Allen and Mrs. Dana Mead, with Mrs. Clyde Mitchell accompanist. Interment was in Oaklawn.
