OBITUARY.
KLINGLE.
Frank Klingle was born in Baton, Germany, Jan. 12, 1837, and died in Cresco, Iowa, Dec. 14, 1917.
At the age of 18 he came to America. He worked for sometime in the coal mines at Pittsburgh, Pa, then went to Stephen county, Ill., where he 1862 he united in marriage with Caroline P. Fravel, who passed on before, about a year and a half ago.
In 1864 he with his wife came to Iowa and settled on a farm in Paris twp., Howard county, where they resided until a little over three {years} ago when they moved to Cresco.
To this union were born Franklin H. who died at the age of 15 years; John W., Mrs. R. J. Logue, Albert A. of Cresco; Philip H. of Waukon; Charles A. of Forsythe, Montana; William E. of Minneapolis. He leaves six children, five grandchildren, who with many friends will miss him. Mr. Klingle was a man of strong will, sterling character and a highly respected citizen.
The funeral was conducted by Rev. J. A. Pettit, Baptist pastor. Burial at New Oregon cemetery.
