John Mudica died at his home in this city last Saturday morning. He had been on the decline for some months, being afflicted with that dread disease tuberculosis. A short time ago he went up to Minnesota with the hope that a change of climate might be beneficial, but secured no relief for his ailment. A short funeral service was conducted at the cemetery chapel by Rev. Miller Sunday morning, after which the remains were taken overland by auto to Cresco, his former home for burial—Osage News.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Aug. 20, 1876 and died Oct. 6, 1917. He is buried in the New Oregon Cemetery.
