Sudden Death.
Ed. Manning, an old gentleman between 65 and 70 years of age, dropped dead about four o’clock yesterday afternoon in Dr. Newell’s office. Mr. Manning came to town with Mr. Julius Dybvik at whose place he was for the time staying. He had not been feeling well and when he got upstairs he was somewhat short of breath. He had a loose front tooth that had been bothering him some and he wanted it extracted. The doctor placed him in the chair and let him sit there for a short time to rest. The tooth was extracted and the old man got out of the chair and said “That’s fine.” He started across the room when all of a sudden he dropped to the floor. Dr. Newell immediately called Drs. Kierland and Anderson who pronounced his death due to heart failure. The body was removed to Sorenson’s undertaking parlors. A sister, Mrs. Bean, lives south of town.—Harmony News.
The funeral of the late Ed. Manning of Harmony, Minn., was held in the Kendallville M. E. Church on Saturday, Oct. 6th, Rev. J. A. Pettit conducting the funeral. Burial at Oak Lawn.
