OBITUARY
Crawford.
Adeline Lucas, daughter of Samuel and Minnie Lucas, was born in Paris twp., Howard county, Iowa, May 3, 1888. She was married to Alfred Crawford Sept. 20, 1906, and has lived in Cresco since until Aug. 14, 1917, when she passed quietly away.
Her whole life has been spent in or near Cresco. She was a devoted wife and mother and leaves to mourn her death, a husband, five children, her father, three brothers and numerous friends. One son eighteen months old preceded her to the better land in May, 1910. Mrs. Crawford accepted Christ some two years ago and signified her intention of joining the Baptist church but ill health prevented.
She was very patient in her long sickness and died in peace, trusting in Jesus.
The funeral was held at her late home Thursday, Aug. 16th and was conducted by Rev. J. A. Pettit of the Baptist church. Burial was at New Oregon cemetery. The family has the sympathy of the community.

Card of Thanks.
We wish to thank all the kind friends and neighbors for their kindness during the long sickness and at the burial of our beloved wife and mother. Also the Baptist church and the Light Co. and employes for the beautiful flowers.
