Suicide at Riceville.
Henry Alberts, who has been staying at the George Roban home northeast of town, ended his life this morning by shooting himself with a thirty-eight calibre revolver.
He was found at the barn with a bullet hole in the temple. A physician was called, but it was found death had been instantaneous.
Mr. Alberts was a man about forty years old and had no known relatives in this country. He was a native of Germany, but had become a citizen of the United States. No cause is known for his act except that he was known to have worried over the fact that he could not communicate with relatives in Germany, fearing that they were in want and wishing that he might send them money.
From papers found it seems he leaves an estate of about $5,000 or $6,000 in bank deposits and notes.—Riceville Recorder.
