Mr. M. M. Forry, who has been in poor health for the past year, passed away on Wednesday at about 4:30 p. m. at his home in this city. At this writing no definite arrangements have been made for the funeral.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born in 1838 and is buried in the Oak Lawn Cemetery.

FORRY

M. M. Forry, son of Abraham and Elizabeth Forry, born in York Co., Penn., Nov. 28, 1838. Died May 16, 1917. Mr. Forry was one of fourteen children, two sisters are now left, Mrs. Elizabeth Fry of Sioux Falls, S. Dak., and Mrs. Sarah Spitler of Peoria, Ill.

He was one of the early settlers in Cresco coming here the year following the building of the railroad.

He leaves a wife, Mary A. Forry and three children, Walter T. Forry, Hood River, Oregon, Mrs. Lillian Anderson of Wolf Point, Mont., and Willilam H. Forry, Cresco, all of whom were present at the funeral.

Was converted when a boy in Pennsylvania and united with the Methodist Episcopal Church and was faithful even unto death.

Funeral was held at the home Monday morning at 10 a. m., in charge of the pastor, Rev. Will Kerwin, and interment was made at Oak lawn.
