OBITUARY
KREUGER.
Augusta Keune was born in Germany in November, 1851. In 1853, when she was about two years old, she came with her parents to America, serttleing{sic} in Howard County, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood.
In the year 1869, she was married to Gottleib Schuman. To this union were born eight children, two dying in infancy. Mr. Schuman died about twenty-six years after their marriage. In 1895, she married Daniel Kreuger who passed away about five years ago. Since that time, she has made her home with her son, Edward Schuman.
Mother Kreuger passed through much sorrow and suffering. She was a devoted Christian, and one who experienced that the Grace of God was sufficient. For the past two years she has suffered much and always without a murmur. She was resigned to the Will of God.
Shortly before she passed away, she called her children to her, and after singing two of her favorite hymns and repeating a prayer she bid adieu to loved ones and said “I am going to be with Jesus.” On February 20th, at 7 a. m. she quietly went to her reward.
She leaves one son, Edward Schuman, with whom she lived, and five daughters, Mrs. George Neiberline, of Cresco, Mrs. John Walters, of Cresco, Mrs. john Johnson, of Crookston, Minn., Mrs. Alfred Kruger, of Cresco, and Mrs. Albin Peterson, of Crookston, Minnesota. She also leaves eight step=children three sisters, three brothers and many other relatives.
The funeral services were held on Thursday, February 22nd, at 2 p. m. in the Evangelical Church, the pastor, W. A. Scholer, conducting the same.
