Pat J. Reicks, age 52, of Cresco, Iowa, passed away peacefully April 6, 2022 at his home surrounded by family after a 2 year battle with cancer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Saturday, April 9th, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jacob Rouse officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery following mass. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8th, 2022, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home with a parish scripture service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Saturday. Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Patrick Joseph Reicks was born March 19, 1970, son of Dell and Monica (Lowe) Reicks in Cresco, Iowa. Pat was a 1988 graduate from Crestwood High School. In his younger years Pat enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. To say that Pat loved music would be an understatement; it was a passion of his. He collected music memorabilia, attended many concerts, and often called in to KVIK to answer the “Water Cooler Question.” Pat also liked to go treasure hunting. Whether it is antiquing, garage sales, flea markets, or swap meets Pat could find some type of treasure. Pat collected eagle statues, Harley Davidson merchandise, and was a Ford man. Most of all Pat adored his family and friends. He enjoyed time spent visiting with people.
Pat is survived by his significant other Jette Berken of Minneapolis, MN; his siblings Kathy Tentis of Kellogg, Minnesota; Karen (Jeff) Fraser of Ave Maria, Florida; Tom (Patty) Reicks of Shakopee, Minnesota; Jane (Gary) Fjelstul of Ridgeway, Iowa, Mary (Gary) Ludeking of Ridgeway, Iowa, Carol (Kevin) Kovarik of Calmar, Iowa, Rob (Barb) Reicks of Cresco, Iowa; nieces and nephews Matt (Elise) Tentis, Seth (Tara) Tentis, Kelsey (Gage) Kehler, Adam Fraser, Sarah (Phil) Kreh, Kyle (Jennie) Reicks, Erin (Eric) Plemel, Rachel (Ben) Jongbloedt, Scott Fjelstul, Andy (Natasha) Ludeking, Mike (Carol) Ludeking, Paula (Josh) Sonnabend, Stephanie (fiancé Dustin Horne), Nathan, Lauren, and Kristen Reicks, Misty (Ben) Kerndt, Cherrie Christopher and Jodie (Shawn) Moe; 12 great-nieces and nephews; aunt Jean Lowe; uncle Denis D. Reicks; and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dell and Monica Reicks; brother-in-law Tony Tentis; and twin great-nieces in infancy Raelyn and Kaylee Fjelstul.
