Dragged and Choked to Death.
News comes to us from Howard Co. of one of the saddest accidents which has occurred in many months. The little five-year-old boy of a farmer named Smith was playing near where the hired man was loading oats into a wagon. He had a rope tied around his neck and the other end tied to the wagon. When the vehicle was loaded the man asked the boy if he was going to ride with him to which the boy said, “No, I'm playing horse." When the man got to the barn he found the little fellow dragging behind the wagon, the rope tightly pulled around his neck and the boy dead. He must have stumbled and being unable to regain his feet was dragged and choked to death.
