Death of W. T. Irvine.
Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Farnsworth were called to La Crosse on Monday to attend the funeral of W. T. Irvine, a former resident of Cresco, and a brother-in-law of Mrs. Farnsworth.
W. T. Irvine was born in La Porte, Ind. in 1858 and learned the jeweler’s trade at South Bend, Ind. moving to Cresco in 1878, conducting a jewelry department for Dr. H. C. Price and afterwards establishing in business himself. In 1880, he was united in marriage with Adeline Peck and to them two sons were born, both of whom with the wife survive him.
In 1883, Mr. Irvine moved to La Crosse where he has since at all times been an important factor in its mercantile life, enjoying the respect and confidence of an extremely large circle of friends and business acquaintances.

Transcriber’s note: Find a Grave shows he was born August 5, 1858 and died Dec. 12, 1915. He is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in LaCrosse.
