The funeral services for Mrs. S. N. Stenson was held at the First Presbyterian church Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock, Rev. Sherman L. Divine officiating, Appropriate hymns were sung by a quartet from the church choir. There were many beautiful floral tributes from sympathizing friends, and from the Brotherhood of American Yeomen, of which order Mr. and Mrs. Stenson were members before coming to Bozeman. The remains were laid to rest in the Bozeman cemetery, the pall bearers being R. L. Long and J. H. Reed of the local lodge of Yeomen, John Anderson, Ben Anderson N. H. Dable and Nels Baverly.
Mrs. Stenson’s maiden name was Mabel Jones. She was 36 years of age and was born in Howard county, Iowa. She was married in January, 1910, to S. Stenson, who survives her. They came to Bozeman about a year ago, and for the past few months have resided on West Babcock street, where Mrs. Stenson was taken ill very suddenly. In a critical condition she was removed' to the Deaconess hospital, where she died in a short time.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Stenson leaves to mourn her death her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Jones, four brothers and one sister, Hiram Jones, Richard Jones, Mrs. F. N. Imhoff, Thomas Jones and Grant Jones, all of Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada. All came for the funeral except the youngest son, and they will remain for a brief visit with the grief stricken husband. The family have the heartfelt sympathy of their friends in their bereavement.— The Bozeman Daily Chronicle, Oct. 13.
