JINDERLEE.
Mrs. Joseph Jinderlee was born Aug. 15, 1853. She was the second child of Andrew and Johanna Kubesh. Her early years were spent in Winneshiek county, near Calmar, Iowa, where her parents were among the earliest settlers, and endured the hardships of a pioneer life.
In 1873 she was married to Joseph Jinderlee. They settled in Floyd Co., near Charles City, and engaged in farming. Nine children were born to this union.
In 1899 they moved to Howard Co., where she spent her remaining years.
Those who survive to mourn the loss of this kind and loving woman are her husband, Jos. Jinderlee; and children, Dr. Jos. W., of Cresco, Charles F. and Kathryn, of Diamond, Wash., John J., of Pierz, Minn., Louise, of Chicago, Mrs. Frank Wacha, of Elma, William F. Frank A. and Lydia, who are at home; four grandchildren, six brothers and three sisters.
She was ever a faithful and devoted member of the Catholic faith. Although she had been ailing for some time, she bore her sufferings with patience. In the last few days she was mercifully spared much pain, and the end came peacefully on the morning of Aug. 7th.
Funeral services were conducted at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Requiem mass was celebrated by Rev. J. J. Norris and the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at that place.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Mary. Her gravestone shows she died Aug. 15, 1854.
