DAUBERSMITH
Alice May Plopper was born at Janesville, Minn., December 25, 1880. At the age of five years she came with her parents to Cresco where almost her entire life has been spent.
She received her education in the public school here from which she was graduated in 1898. During the next two years she taught school successfully in the western part of the county.
On July 7, 1900, she was united in marriage with Frank A. Daubersmith who was at that time engaged in business at Albert Lea, Minn., where the first year of their married life was spent. From there they returned to Cresco where they have since lived. For a number of years she has been a patient sufferer, and has bravely fought for life for the sake of her home and the little children that are now left without the loving care of a devoted mother. Her weakened condition caused by constant suffering and pain made it impossible for her to withstand an attack of la grippe. During the forenoon of Monday, May 3d, she fell into a peaceful sleep from which during the late afternoon she joined

in the silent halls of death.
She leaves a home, saddened by her absence, a loving and devoted husband and two children, Donald aged ten years, and Beulah aged five. One other little one preceded her mother in death. She is also mourned by her mother, Mrs. Margaret Plopper, two brothers, Stephen and George, of Elma, and a sister Estella of Des Moines.
From an early age she has been a loyal member and an active worker of the Cresco Baptist church. A true Christian spirit has dominated her life, and has been manifested in her unselfish helpful devotion to family and friends, and in her cheerful, happy sunny disposition.
