Katie Lefferink, aged 13 years, daughter of John Lefferink and wife, died at her home, about one mile east of town last Monday, from pleurisy. Funeral services were held from the German Catholic church yesterday morning at 10 o’clock. Father Wagner officiating, with burial in St. Joseph’s cemetery.

John Bengford, of Festina, Joe and and{sic} Frank Kipp of Ossian, and Anton Reick of Festina, were here Thursday to attend the funeral of Katie Leferink.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows her name as Katharina Leferink and that he was born July 10, 1896 and died Jan. 4, 1915.
