SCULLY
M. Sculley was born in County Galloway, Ireland, in 1835. He came to America at the age of 14. In 1856 he was married at Osage, Iowa, to Miss Cathryn Kildee. They lived in Osage for three years, then moved onto a farm in Howard county, five miles northwest of Elma. To them were born ten children who are now living, Charles and Mayme of Albert Lea, Minn., Dennis, of Castalia, Iowa; Tom, Mart and Ed of Elma; Mrs. Jas. Mc Cann, Lucy and Etta of Elma. Mrs. Sculley died a number of years ago.
About ten years ago the family moved to Elma.
Mr. Sculley had been in poor health for a year or more, and died on Wednesday, November 26, 1913. The funeral was held Friday from the Immaculate Conception church in Elma. Interment in the Cecelia cemetery. A large number of friends from all parts of the neighborhood in which he formerly lived came to pay their respects to the man who had been a friend to all who knew him.
Mr. Sculley was a kind hearted, noble, generous man. typical of his race and always delighted in helping others. His generosity was sincere as it was liberal and explained the affection in which he was held by all who came in contact with him.—Elma New Era.

Transcriber’s Note: The last name is spelled two different ways. There is a Scully grave in the Cecilia cemetery but the name and dates are unknown.
