Schulz.
Louise Marens was born June 10, 1846, at Grimm, Pomerania, Germany, where she grew to womanhood. She was united in wedlock to her surviving husband, John Schulz, Nov. 12, 1871. Four children, one son and three daughters were born to them, the son dying in infancy. The daughters survive her.
In 1881 they immigrated to this country where the family took up farming in the vicinity of Cresco. In 1903, she with her husband, retired from active life and removed to Cresco, where she died Friday last, April 18th. The funeral was held Monday from Immanuels Lutheran church, Rev. Pless offic{i}ating. Burial was in New Oregon cemetery.
