Mrs. Theodore Southard, mother of Mrs. W. Armstrong, died suddenly Thursday. She was sick with pneumonia about a day. She was 80 years of age and an old settler, her husband being an old soldier. The funeral was held in the Presbyterian church Sunday morning, conducted by Rev. Jones, assisted by Rev. Burgess. The Methodists gave up their preaching service. The interment was in the cemetery east of town.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Adaline who was born Sept. 3, 1834 and died Jan. 9, 1913. She is buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
