OBITUARY.
Franklin Wallace Obriham was born near the town of Haygne, N. Y., March 12, 1840. Ho moved with his parents from there to the state of Iowa near Decorah, where he lived until August 15, 1862, when he enlisted in the 38th Iowa Volunteer Infantry. Jan. 1st, 1865 the 38th regiment was consolidated with the 34th and was thereafter known as the 84th Iowa Volunteer Infantry, and from this regiment he was honorably discharged at the close of the war.
On September 1, 1868, he was united in marriage to Ida L. Williams at Decorah. There were six children born to them, of whom four survive. Erwin, Frank, William and Lillian. In the summer of 1898 he moved to Lime Springs with his family, where he lived until the time of his death, Nov. 10, 1911. The funeral was held at the M. E. church Sunday at 11 o’clock, Rev. Maxwell and Rev. C. W. Burgess, officiating.—Lime Springs Sun.
