Sudden Death Near Maple Leaf.
Mrs. David{?} Hutton, aged 22, died last Sunday morning at her home southeast of Maple Leaf, without a moments warning.
She had been in extra good health during the past summer, and when stricken by death was standing in the doorway talking with her husband and others in the yard. Suddenly she ex-exlaimed{sic} “Oh! my:” and fell over dead.
She was the eldest daughter of Mrs. James Wentworth of Cresco, and leaves the mother, husband, several brothers and sisters and two little children to mourn her loss.Source: Twice-A-Week Plain Dealer Sept. 15, 1911, FP, C1
OBITUARY.
Libbie Wentworth was born in Howward{sic} county, February 16, 1888, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Wentworth. In the fall of 1907 she married Mr. Frank Hutton, and after four short years of married life she passed away Sunday, September 10th, at 9:00 o’clock. Her death was due to heart failure and was a great shock to all her friends. She leaves two children, a husband, a mother and and{sic} a wide circle of friends to mourn her loss. The funeral was held at the Congregational church by Rev. H. J. Hinman at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, after which she was interred at Oaklawn cemetery. Mr. Hutton and his family desire to express their gratitude to the friends and neighbors who were so kind to them in their affliction.Transcriber’s Note: Both the Iowa Gravestone Photo and Find a Grave show her year of birth as 1889; however the photos are not clear. The two notices show her husband with two different names.
