Mrs. Effie Brown died at a hospital in Chicago, where she went for an operation. W. J. Lean went there for the remains and accompanied them to Whitewater, Wis., where the funeral was held. Deceased was a sister of Mrs. Lean and had been a patient sufferer for many years.
