OBITUARY.
MICHEL.
Amelia Mary Krueger was born at Manistee, Mich., March 22, 1867, and died May 4, 1911. At the age of nine years she came to Howard County, Iowa, with her parents, and on Sept. 1, 1887, she was united, in marriage to Andrew E. Michel and settled on a farm near Granger, Minn. The union was blessed with five children, Ervin R., Elmer A., Jacob A., Lenora L, and Vernie A., who were all present at her death with the exception of Ervin R. who was at Tacoma, Wash., but who arrived in time for the funeral.
On March 29, 1910, she with her husband and children moved to Jamestown, North Dakota, where she resided until her death.
She was baptized at an early age and at the age of 14 was confirmed in the Lutheran faith to which she remained a true and faithful member to the end.
The funeral was held at Jamestown, North Dakota, May 7, 1911, her pastor Rev. Hess paying a glowing tribute in expressing the estimation in which she was held by her many friends during her short residence here. The floral offerings were many and very beautiful which were lowered with her in the grave in Highland Home Cemetery. May she peacefully sleep among the flowers she loved so well.
Those attending the funeral from a distance were her sister, Mrs. Phil. DeGreve, her brother, Alfred Krueger, her brother-in-law, George Michel, all of Cresco, Iowa, and her niece, Miss Clara Mandelko, of Harmony, Minnesota.
