OBITUARY.
MARSH
Laura Huckins was born Oct. 14th, 1827, in Chittenden county, Vermont, moving to Canada with her parents when a child. She was married to Wm. S. Marsh on Oct. 4th, 1845 and they came to Minnesota in 1854, later moving to Conover, Iowa, where Mr. Marsh passed away on Nov. 20, 1866, and then the family came to Vernon Springs.
To Mr. and Mrs. Marsh were born seven sons, Luther. Albert, William, Warren, Charles, Josiah and Lloyd. Four sons are still living, William of Cooperstown, N. D., Warren of Buffalo, Minn., Charles of Pipestone, Minn., and Josiah of Cresco. Mrs. Marsh also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Howland of Charles City, Iowa, and Mrs. Crook of Milwaukee.
Mrs. Marsh was baptized and united with the Vernon Springs Baptist church in March, 1859, thus being a member of this church 52 years.
The funeral took place Monday morning at the home of her son Josiah, Rev. Bell officiating. Interment at Oak Lawn.
