Mrs. F. J. Mead received m telegaam{sp} yesterday morning: announcing the death at Wymore, Neb., of her brother John W. Ballard, who will be remembered by many of the older Cresco residents. He was located at Wymore on a claim, and was also an organizer for the Knights and Ladies of Security. He will probably be buried at South Omaha, where his wife resides.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in the Wymore Cemetery in Wymore, Nebraska. He was born in 1855 and died Dec. 11, 1912.
