The funeral of Miss Minerva Johnston, who died in Independence was held in the Methodist church Wednesday at one o'clock, Rev. Maxwell in charge. She was born in Becker county, Minn., Aug. 1, 1886, moving to Lime Springs where she resided until her death. June 15th she was taken to Independence to seek relief from tuberculosis. She died Dec. 1st, at the age of 26. She leaves a step-father, a mother and a sister.

Transcriber’s Note: Her gravestone in Pleasant Hill Cemetery shows her name spelled Johnson.
