OBITUARY,
WAGNER
Mamie Henderson Wagner, only child of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Henderson of this city was born Feb. 1, 1894, and died July 11, 1912, aged 18 years, 6 months and 11 days.
She was born in Columbia, Mo., and came, with her parents to Iowa, May 7, 1907. She was married to James Wagner Feb. 19, 1910.
Mamie had been a great sufferer since November last, but bore her suffering as a christian child—with fortitude and bravery. She was greatly loved in her school life and by all, who knew her. She was a member of Mrs. Soper’s Sunday school class, and a few weeks ago, with her husband was baptized and united with the First Methodist Episcopal church of this city.
Her faith in God was strong and clear. Just before passing to the better land, her pastor administered the blessed sacrament to her, and then calling her loved ones, she said her own prayers to God, and went on into that city whose builder and maker is God.
The sympathy of all who know them is with the bereaved ones in their sorrow. God alone can halp{sp} them say “Not my will, but Thine be done.”
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Soper at the M. E. church Friday at 1:00 p. m. and the remains were shipped to the old home at Columbia, Mo., Friday afternoon, the family accompanying.
