Edith Delphine Tibbals was born at Lime Springs, Iowa, Sept. 28, 1884, where she spent her entire life. She was united in marriage to Frank M. Kniffen and to this union was born six children, Lloyd F., Gertrude Grace, Donald, Dorothy, Virginia and a babe who with the bereaved husband are left to mourn her loss. Her father, mother, and two brothers survive her. On April 4th she was stricken with that fell disease pneumonia and passed away April 10th. She was a kind and loving wife and mother and her beautiful character endeared her to all who knew her. The deceased believed that she was going to die and confessed her faith in Jesus Christ as the only foundation of the Christian hope: Her death is a sad one. Six little children who need a mother’s care so much left behind. The funeral was held Friday afternoon at the house, Rev. Maxwell in charge. Fifty teams were in the procession to her last resting place.
