Smith D. Cole was born in Gilboa, Schoharie county, N. Y., March 20, 1875, and died in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, January 23, 1912, aged 36 years, 10 months and 3 days. Aug. 25, 1897 he was united in marriage to Miss Ida M. Ehrke of Lime Springs, Iowa. This union was blessed with two children both of whom died three years ago, only two days apart. Pease, pastor of the M E. Church at. Riceville.—Elma New Era.
