Joseph McPherson passed away Sunday afternoon at the home of his son Allan at Mora, Minn. The remains were brought to Cresco for interment and the funeral will be held this afternoon in charge of the Masonic fraternity.

Joseph McPherson was born in LaPorte Co., Ind., Sept. 10, 1839, and passed away very suddenly last Saturday morning at the home of his son in Mora, Minn., aged 73 years, 3 months, 10 days. In 1866 he was married to Allie Reed who passed away Nov 28th last.
About 30 years ago they moved from the place of his birth to Cresco, Ia., where he has since made his home. He leaves two children, F. A. McPherson, of Mora, Minn., and Mrs. B. B. Brierly of Cresco. The remains were brought to Cresco on Tuesday for interment and the funeral services, in charge of the Masons, were held in the M. E. church, Rev. Bell preaching the sermon. Interment was in Oak Lawn cemetery.
