Lowell Wilhelm Released from Long Illness
After an illness covering weary months of suffering, patiently borne, Lowell, oldest son of A. B. Wilhelm, passed away at his home in this city Friday night Dec. 1911, at eleven o’clock, aged fourteen years, four months and twenty-four days. He was born at Bonair, Ia., July 21, 1897, and lived at the place of his birth until March 1902, when he moved with his parents to Dell Rapids where they lived five years, going from here to Amity, Colo., and two years later moving to Bradshaw, Neb., where they were living when Lowell was stricken with the disease which from the first was pronounced incurable by physicians. When he was first taken sick he expressed a strong desire to return to Dell Rapids, the memory of relatives, friends and his early home here being very dear to him.
The funeral was held from the Baptist church Sunday his pastor, Rev. Perham, officiating. Relatives and friends contributed a choice floral tribute, and he was laid to rest in the Dell Rapids cemetery.—Dell Rapids Paper.
