OBITUARY.
EMERY.
Owing to the departure of near relatives for Cresco, we do not have the facts necessary to a satisfactory obituary of Mrs. Emery.
Maggie McMackin was born about 59 years ago and died at her home in Decorah, Saturday, Jan. 13, 1912, at 8:40 a. m. Death was due to dropsy and consumption. The deceased had been in poor health some 20 years, but her last illness began in November.
Miss McMackin was married to Willsie Peck and to them were born three children of whom Wilbur Peck of Baker, Montana, survives. Later she married A. W. R. Emery, who survives, and to them were born three children, all of whom survive, Omri of Pine River, Minn., Mrs. Laura Aaby and Williard Emery of this city.
The funeral was held yesterday at 2:30, Rev. Otto Schmidt officiating, and the remains were taken to Cresco for burial. All the deceased’s surviving children and her husband were present at the funeral.—Decorah Journal.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a grave shows she is buried in Oak Lawn Cemetery and was born Feb. 28, 1855.
