Dubuque, Ia. Jan. 9—The Rt. Rev. Roger Ryan, aged 70 years, vicar general of the Dubuque archdiocese, who a month ago fell sustaining a fractured hip, died this morning at his home. He was a native of Ireland, came to America in 1868 and was ordained a priest in 1869. He built St. Patrick’s church edifice and parochial school and was instrumental in bringing about the erection of St. Joseph’s College.
