We are informed that Mrs. Philip C. Howe passed away on New Years day at the home of her son Charles at Dexter, Minn., where she has been making her home for about two years.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Melissa who was born Sept. 6, 1840 and died Dec. 31, 1911.
