OBITUARY.
RUESINK.
Jane Hoopman was born June 24, 1836, in Gelderland, Holland. At the age of 20 years she moved to this country and settled in Sheboygan, Wis. She was married in 1857 to Mr. Arnot John Ruesink. In 1878 they moved to Howard county, settling on a farm west of Lime Springs. On Jan, 11, 1890, her husband died.
In 1893 she moved to Lime Springs where she resided until her death. She was the mother of nine children, five sons and four daughters, Garrett, who lives in Baldwin, Wis., John who lives at home, Hattie who died in 1881, Herman who resides in Lime Springs, Ira of Baker, Mont., Mrs. Jennie Palmer of Cresco, Joe, who resides at Velva, N. D., Mrs. Delia Cray of Minneapolis and Mina who resides at home.
She united with the church in early life. After coming to Howard county she united with the Methodist church and lived a faithful member until her death. She leaves to mourn her loss eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren and a brother Ralph Hoopman, who resides west of town.
She departed this life Dec. 25, 1911, at the age of 75 years and 6 months.
The funeral was held in the Methodist church Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Maxwell officiating.

Transcriber’s Note: Iowa Gravestone Photos show she is buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery but it shows her husband’s name as Aaron.

Mrs. A. J. Ruesink, mother of Mrs. D. A. Palmer, passed away Monday morning at her home in Lime springs.
